COVID-19 SAFE WORK POLICY

PURPOSE

At city building Indigenous Corporation, we are committed to ensuring a safe workplace for all of our staff on site, in the office and to our clients. Ensuring to meet all obligations under the Work Health & Safety Act 2011 (NSW).

In order to prevent and minimise the spread of COVID-19 and to maintain a safe working environment and healthy workforce; we have created a safe work policy to ensure that all staff and clients are aware of the measures being undertaken by City building Indigenous Corporation.

AIMS

This policy aims to:

  • Provide our staff and clients with suitable protection and control measures
       to ensure a safe working environment, and reduce potential transmission
       among personnel.
  • Provide ongoing advice and education to maintain healthy business operations.
  • Provide confidence to clients with health and safety protocols in place to ensure safe site visits are ongoing into the foreseeable future.

WORKING AT HEAD OFFICE

CBIC management encourages all staff working in our head office to comply with all current Australian Federal Government and NSW Government health advice and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and safe business operations.

Controls Include

Physical distancing

Maintaining Australian Government guidelines of 1.5m distance between themselves and the other team members.

• No hand shaking.

• Cough or sneeze into your arm or a tissue, not your
   hands.

• Thorough hand washing throughout the day with
   soap and water.

• Hand sanitiser provided in the office for all staff.
   Wipe down personal equipment after use.

• Antibacterial disinfectant spray to be used to wipe
   down high traffic and touch point areas. All external
   visitors are to sanitise their hands prior to entering
   the premise.

• Personnel who are sick or who have symptoms
   such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath
   are to stay home.

• All notices displayed on office door prior to entry.

Additional measures

Any staff member feeling unwell, presenting flu like symptoms, or having been in contact with someone who has returned from overseas in the last 14 days
will not attend our work place or site visits.

• A company Zoom account is available to limit the need
   for face-to-face meetings.

• Personnel are advised to avoid touching their eyes,
   nose, and mouth especially with unwashed hands.

EXTERNAL VISITS

Team members at City building Indigenous Corporation attending
any external sites are to comply with the current Australian Federal Government and NSW Government health advice and guidelines surrounding COVID- 19.

Controls Include

For the safety of our staff; clients will be contacted where possible, to determine if they or anybody on their site have suspected symptoms or have been infected with COVID – 19.

• Company vehicles are regularly cleaned and sanitized.

• Maintaining Australian Government guidelines
  of 1.5m social distancing rules.

• Thorough hand washing throughout any site visit
   with disinfectant/sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes,
   nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Additional measures

Wherever possible, the premises being attended
by City building Indigenous Corporation should
be vacated by clients and any required doors
or windows to be left unlocked.

• Ensure site visits are kept in a timely manner to reduce
   unnecessary time on site.

• To maintain a safe workplace and a healthy workforce,
   the client should guarantee that any area our surveyors
   need to enter internally will not have clients nearby
   that have, or have been exposed to COVID-19.

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and new health advice and guidelines become apparent, City building Indigenous Corporation will ensure that all up to date information will be distributed amongst our teams
to ensure maximum safety measures.

EDUCATION & COMPLIANCE

• Our team will adhere to the above policy to ensure safety of our clients.

• Our management will ensure that our team is updated with new
   information and guidelines delivered by government authorities
   as soon as it becomes apparent.

REVIEW

This policy will be reviewed and amended on a regular basis in accordance
to any new guidelines provided by governing authorities.
